11:30 PM
this morning i went for a run at princes park.
and a number of interesting things happened.
it rained! then i tried to take a shortcut hoping to get back sooner. but i think because of that i forgot all my bearings and i took a turn too early, finding myself wandering along rows and rows of houses, with the colleges nowhere in sight.
and i was running with my ipod, so i was all for protecting my precious ipod from the rain.so i put my clenched fist containing my ipod under the bottom end of my shirt. what a sight it must have been! haaaha.
but as i was braving the rain and covering my ipod, a pleasant thought was suddenly dropped into my head-- that if i care enough about my material ipod to shield it from the rain, how much more my heavenly daddy cares about me; how much more will he shield me from the storms of life as i journey with Him. (: reminded me of footprints in the sand.
on the way back, i was too captured by the grandeur of the clock tower at ormondcollege to run past without getting a closer look. so i ran into the college. i thoroughly enjoyed the sight of the colourful flowers in bloom that dotted the shrubs along the walk. and the buildings were so majestic. very harrypotterish. that's kind of how i always dreamed my uni's campus would be (again, part of the reason i was so fixated with studying in london. i really want to go to vienna + salzburg + london!!). the old buildings simply make me happy. the architecture launches me into a whole different era. it's so dreamy i love it. think of castles, royalty.. mmmmm (:
